About Women Entrepreneurs Review

When women are empowered, a society with stability is assured

                                                                               ~ Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

From Sarojini Naidu to the visionary Sushma Swaraj, the epoch names etched in India’s tale of rise from ashes, speaks volumes of how women have demonstrated their imperia. With the sobriquet, ‘Nightingale of India’, Sarojini Naidu, is known for becoming the first woman governor of a state. She was the second woman to become the president of the Indian National Congress, after Annie Besant, also, the first Indian woman to achieve this facet. Naidu played one of the most important roles in the Civil Disobedience struggle for which she was jailed. However, her contribution was not confined to politics only and she was a well-renowned poetess. Bhikaji Cama was another name in the Indian Freedom Struggle. Tales of bravery and leadership have been portrayed by many others like Vijay Lakshmi Pandit, Aruna Asaf Ali, Kalpana Dutta, Raj Kumari Gupta, Kamala Kaul Nehru, Begum Hazrat Ali, etc.

After these women contributed their share, the torch was passed on to the industrial generation of women to continue India’s growth trajectory.

Ever since, women are dominating in many spheres from sports to theoretical physics to creative arts such as movies and music. Women entrepreneurs of today are chartering unknown territories unabashedly and fearlessly. Be it in ecommerce, education, investment banking, Food & Beverage, travel, fashion, retail, fitness, hiring, and anything and everything under the sun. Women are taking charge with acumen and unbridled enthusiasm to change the world around them, give life to revolutionary ideas, identify the unknown problems and seek solutions that have never been sought, fight diseases and social norms, run successful ventures and generate employment for many, educate, and give rise to new sustainable ecosystems.
